Pandora – The World of Avatar Review

Pandora – The World of Avatar is a wonderful addition in Animal Kingdom. When you first entered into Pandora, its all trees and plants. When you get closer you see the floating mountains. The first thing we did in Pandora was a gift shop called Windtraders. I bought a nice hat there and then we went off to ride the Na’vi River Journey. The queue for the Na’vi River Journey starts off in a forest and then travels to a bunch of snake lines. Then you go into a cave and you board your boat which only holds 8 people. The Na’vi River Journey is a slow moving boat ride showcasing the nature of Pandora. It did not have any drops so you could compare it to the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion. It has one of the most advanced animatronics in Disney Parks History.
After the Na’vi River Journey we walked on over to Flight of Passage, the main attraction in Pandora. Think of it as Soarin’ on a motorcycle. You first enter the queue through a forest similar to the one in the Na’vi River Journey but then traverse caves and a bioluminescant forest. You then enter a science laboratory showcasing some Pandorian science experiments including an Avatar birth pod. Soon after you will be escorted to a different lane and watch 2 pre shows before going into the main theater. I honestly think that this ride has the longest quene in Walt Disney World Resort. This truly is an immersive attraction and one of the best in Disney Parks around the world. When you leave the attraction be prepared to walk 5 minutes straight back to Pandora. The show building for the actual ride is far away from the actual land. You leave the exit (or should I say, End queue) into a gift shop, because that is a law in Florida. After we finished Flight of Passage, we went to the restaurant called the Satu’li Canteen. That restaurant is one of the few in Disney Property that offers Mobile Ordering. Anyways, I got the Chopped Wood Grilled Chicken Bowl which was really good. The chocolate cake there is honestly one of the best chocolate cakes in all of Walt Disney World Resort. Although we did not go to Pongu Pongu, which is the special drink location, we do have a report from a reader who says that the Night Blossom drink started out tart then ended sweet. One thing to note is that none of the rides in Pandora are wheel chair accessible. Comment down any reports below.
